In the summer, there will be scooters and bikes for rent, right outside the Villa, or you can go to Alki and rent roller skates. Further down the beach, rent a kayak or canoe. Enjoy crabbing, fishing and fresh seafood at the restaurants along the beach at Alki or try your luck fishing for your own dinner!  There are a number of tour guides and operators, so please inquire if interested.  One can easily get to Downtown Seattle on the handy West Seattle Water Taxi

 This home is across the street from the beach (Saltwater/Ocean Weather Watch Park!)  See whales, seals, otters and eagles from your villa.

Views of Puget Sound and Weather Watch Park, the Olympic Mountains and see whales, seals and otters from your waterfront view balcony.  There is also an Old Growth forest nearby and bird watching is fabulous.  The nearby forests are home to raccoons, otters, possums, owls and eagles.

You will have luxury accommodations at La Villa Rustica, located across the street from Puget Sound beaches.  What’s more, you will find the downstairs Garden Villa has a King bed and grand piano and you will also find a Queen-size bed and jacuzzi tub in the upstairs penthouse.

Sandy beaches, volleyball, scooter and bicycle rental, nearby.  Scooters and bikes are usually parked right outside the villa in the summer months. This view shows you the location of La Villa Rustica.  While we cannot always guarantee you sunshine, we can always promise you will enjoy your stay at the beach!  In addition, there are some unexpected surprises.  In the summer, the City of Seattle offers bicycle and scooter rental, right outside the door.  And you will find kayak and other conveyance rental over at Alki Beach.

There are so many parks and beaches to visit and explore on your trip to Seattle.  In addition, you will find a number of hikes through beautiful forests, right nearby at Lincoln Park and Old Growth forests at Schmitz park.

Enjoy such magical places as Alki Beach, Mee Kwa Mooks park, Constellation Park and Old Growth forests in Lincoln Park and Schmitz Park.  Let us know your interests and we can send you a list of walks and hikes you will surely enjoy when you visit Seattle.

Secluded, yet minutes from Downtown Seattle via car or the West Seattle Water Taxi that will whisk you to the Seattle waterfront in minutes.  What’s more, the Seattle Water Taxi will drop you off right downtown so you can ride the Great Wheel.  In addition, you can walk to Pike’s Place Market from there for shopping or snacks and if you’re really ambitious, walk to the Monorail for a quick ride to the Seattle Center and the Space Needle.

Each unit faces West to view sunsets and perhaps catch a glimpse of an eagle or frolicking seal or otter.  In addition, you may see great heron standing at salute on the beach early in the morning or at sunset.  We do have binoculars, but if you have specific special needs, you may want to bring your own.

One never gets tired of the shifting and changing views of Puget Sound.  What’s more, if you are able to stay a bit longer and watch an entire tide cycle, visit the beach as the tide goes out to view starfish and other sea creatures.  You will love La Villa Rustica Guest Inn on the water and beach in Seattle.

We know you will enjoy your stay at the beach.  As you’ve probably guessed, summer is prime visiting time, but the views are always awesome, even in the winter.  Furthermore, if you are there for a storm, watching the clouds roll in can be an exciting experience.

West Seattle is Special!

West Seattle is the location of Seattle’s only Old Growth Forest called Schmitz Preserve Park.  This park, in the middle of West Seattle, has 1.7 miles of hiking trails in a natural forest setting, and offers the opportunity to see old growth conifers that once were common in Puget Sound forests.West Seattle has so many wonderful parks and playgrounds, all free and open to visitors.  Lincoln Park is the crown jewel (another Olmstead park!) but Lowman Beach Park is charming and smaller, but perfect to set up camp.  Alki has it’s pleasures, including beach fires, but it’s more of a Pacific Northwest Jersey Shore experince.  Mee Kwa Mooks has barbeques one can use (let us know if you need foil or charcoal.)  Seacrest has a boat house where one can rent kayaks.
