Once upon a time……

Welcome to a most loved home. The owners are avid fans of pop culture, big or small screen, graphic or wordy, painted or computer designed…  Like a tasteful, expensive high school locker, the house is adorned with their favorites.

Ever want to go to the bathroom outside the TARDIS, in Sherlock’s study? This may be the only place, on earth! Where you can check that box off.

In yet another bathroom, enjoy a bath staring up at Zeniba’s enchanted paper birds, from Hayao Miyazaki’s Spirited Away. The bathroom is in homage to the great Studio Ghibli- again, bathroom? Check. No Face? Check. Boxes you never allowed to enter your mind, due to the sheer ridiculous whimsy! Two bathroom’s to prove! That one should never give up on their dreams.

The stairwell is referred to as, “the deep dark woods.” It was conceived by the film Holy Motors, and in that it is always important to descend or ascend- not knowing for sure if you’re going to arrive in the same universe as where you came from. Try spinning a top or something, if things aren’t adding up.

Of what is permanent in the house (just speaking of paint, which is hardly permanent), the owners lay no claim. As for the doodads, the gimcracks- the knickknacks that heavily pepper the joint, they agree that some of them are perfectly coupled with their environment and have no problem negotiating their stay.

And all of this across the street from “The Fairy Park,” full of fog and tree giants (seriously, look out there at night) and the sweetest mystery…

The owners had many future plans and no intention of leaving- if they did not have to.
About appliances? The washer and dryer are a mere three years old, and still so very brilliant. The fridge is also still a toddler, and the water is as fresh as a mountain stream.

The deck is a delight in the summer- as well as the expansive yard- that many a badminton game has been played…
