Staging your Seattle Home
Seattle Home Staging Home staging may be one of the hottest trends in real estate today. Advocates say that home sales for staged homes are often faster and at higher prices than similar unstaged homes. Just what is home staging and how can it help you sell your home? Staging is a process of cleaning, organizing, rearranging, updating, and preparing your home for sale. Sound good? Anyone who’s ever had a home for sale, languishing on the market for weeks or even months, will probably be all for any process than can help avoid that situation in the future. All Seattle Dream Homes are staged to look like a beautiful model home! This will help you get top dollar, sell your home faster, and with the least inconvenience. This home was a sweet cottage done in a palette of “Builders Gray”. While neutral, the home needed a punch of color and some smaller apartment-sized furniture.

The new flooring was a bit distracting in pattern, so we made a choice to put down a rug to try to calm down the visual chatter and add a few pops of color

This bedroom just needed some touch up and some cute furniture and accessories to make it shine.
This was a mid-century home with hardwood floors, a fireplace in the center of the room and simple clean lines. In the before photos, you can see the paint color was what we called “Cheetoh”, but everything else was great. After a $50 can of paint and some quick clean-up, the living room was staged with neutral furniture and it looked great.

Another room that just needed some cleaning and a fresh coat of paint. We even used the same furniture but added some neutral linens and some nice art work to lighten up the room.

The owner didn’t want to paint this room and we were able to work with the colors by adding a white throw rug. We used the owners furniture but added some cute linens and art to lighten up the space and bring it into a more modern style.
This was a simple mid-century unremodeled bathroom and remodeling was not in the budget. The only thing we changed was added a new toilet seat and the rest is decor…. new lighter shower curtain and a few accessories.

This was a dark basement room and the seller had no budget for remodeling. We found another twin bed in another room and added some matching linens to create a fun guest room or children’s room.

No budget here for making improvements so we improvised and moved one of the beds downstairs and using just one large bed with pretty linens to lighten up the space.

This house had great bones (1927 Arthur Loveless home on Capitol Hill) and it was stunning, but the owner had lived there 50+ years and needed some updating. Remodeling was not in the budget, so we just painted and brought in a few items for staging and it looked great.

The owners had left a large loveseat and didn’t want to remove it, so we worked around it and added a sheepskin and a few pillows to dress it up. We removed the large heavy 1950’s curtains to lighten up the room.

This beautiful office didn’t need much, so we brought in a desk and a few accessories to give some warmth to the space

Beautiful lines and gleaming hardwood floors were already here, so we just “redecorated” and lightened up the space with white curtains and a white rug, which filled the room with light and helped to “modernize” it without spending a great deal of money. Sometimes working with what one has works out just fine.
