This view shows you the location of La Villa Rustica.  While we cannot always guarantee you sunshine, we can always promise you will enjoy your stay at the beach!  In addition, there are some unexpected surprises.  In the summer, the City of Seattle offers bicycle and scooter rental, right outside the door.  And you will find kayak and other conveyance rental over at Alki Beach.

There are so many parks and beaches to visit and explore on your trip to Seattle.  In addition, you will find a number of hikes through beautiful forests, right nearby at Lincoln Park and Old Growth forests at Schmitz park.

Enjoy such magical places as Alki Beach, Mee Kwa Mooks park, Constellation Park and Old Growth forests in Lincoln Park and Schmitz Park.  Let us know your interests and we can send you a list of walks and hikes you will surely enjoy when you visit Seattle.

Secluded, yet minutes from Downtown Seattle via car or the West Seattle Water Taxi that will whisk you to the Seattle waterfront in minutes.  What’s more, the Seattle Water Taxi will drop you off right downtown so you can ride the Great Wheel.  In addition, you can walk to Pike’s Place Market from there for shopping or snacks.

Each unit faces West to view sunsets and perhaps catch a glimpse of an eagle or frolicking seal or otter.  In addition, you may see great heron standing at salute on the beach early in the morning or at sunset.

West Seattle is Special!

West Seattle is the location of Seattle’s only Old Growth Forest called Schmitz Preserve Park.  This park, in the middle of West Seattle, has 1.7 miles of hiking trails in a natural forest setting, and offers the opportunity to see old growth conifers that once were common in Puget Sound forests.West Seattle has so many wonderful parks and playgrounds, all free and open to visitors.  Lincoln Park is the crown jewel (another Olmstead park!) but Lowman Beach Park is charming.  Alki has it’s pleasures, including beach fires.  Mee Kwa Mooks has barbeques one can use.  Seacrest has a boat house where one can rent kayaks.
