Staging & Decorating

Seattle Staging and Interior Design for Real Estate Sales   Seattle Home Staging Home staging may be one of the hottest trends in real estate today. Advocates say that home sales for staged homes are often faster and at higher prices than similar unstaged homes. Just what is home staging and how can it help you sell your home? Staging is a process of cleaning, organizing, rearranging, updating, and preparing your home for sale. Sound good? Anyone who’s ever had a home for sale, languishing on the market for weeks or even months, will probably be all for any process than can help avoid that situation in the future. All Seattle Dream Homes are staged to look like a beautiful model home! This will help you get top dollar, sell your home faster, and with the least inconvenience. Staging Before-and-After Examples If you would like your home staged to sell, please email Marlow@SeattleDreamHomes.com All homes are visited by an interior designer and staged to perfection! Home Staging

Before and After Examples of Staged HomesAt its most basic it may be as simple as performing some needed home repairs, prepacking and removing unneeded items and accessories, and bringing in some fresh flowers and plants. In other cases it might be as complicated as repainting, recarpeting, rearranging furniture, or replacing outdated light fixtures or window treatments. But no matter how easy or complicated, the end result has only one goal: to show potential buyers the very best side of your home. After all, they’ll be able to concentrate on picturing themselves in the home when they’re not distracted by clutter, dirt, or home maintenance problems. Home staging takes the preparations for getting a house ready to sell a bit further, showcasing it so that buyers can visualize living there. Home staging involves the same commonsense advice that real estate agents have been giving sellers for decades, but with some fresh additions. Professional home stagers are available for hire here in Seattle. Some work with your own furnishings to create a new look, but home stagers often have a warehouse of furniture and accessories to draw from. Others might expect you to purchase new items. We at www.SeattleDreamHomes.com stage all of our homes before sale with beautiful designer furniture and original art. If you are a home seller, my goal is not simply to sell your house, but to help you realize the best price obtainable for your property in the shortest period of time. To help achieve that goal, I have a booklet, developed by Coldwell Banker, called the Home Enhancement Guide. Based on proven marketing techniques, this informative guide will introduce you to practical ideas on how to successfully prepare your home for sale. Furniture
No matter how beautiful your furnishings are, if you haven’t decided on the style and resonance of the room, it will appear confused and awkward. Interesting people create interesting houses. By being ourselves, we can break through the limitations imposed by place and circumstance. It is the expression of well-lived lives that create beautiful spirit and charm in a house, not the beautiful furnishings.
But it doesn’t hurt!
MORT’S CABIN is a place where childhood memories embrace the spirit and magnificent beauty that is Washington State. Darold Andersen, owner, named his shop in memory of his father MORT, who likewise had a deep love of the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest. Darold’s work in shade making and lighting design aspires to capture and celebrate the spirit of the Pacific Northwest, the folk art of the early rustic camp style, and the American arts and crafts movement, with inspirations coming from nature, Native American blankets and baskets, and, of course, “The Mountain”. All shade designs are one of a kind and made from parchment, hand-cut deer hide lacing, vintage fabric, willow, leaf material, antler, and found objects. The shop functions as a working studio for shade making and a gallery for a lifetime of collecting “vintage cool stuff.” The showroom is filled with Pacific Northwest memorabilia and cabin collectibles along with ceiling fixtures made from snowshoes and table lamps with handmade art pottery bases. Stop by MORT’S CABIN at 3202 Harvard Ave. Calling ahead or making an appointment is highly recommended. The numbers are (206) 323-MORT (6678)* at the shop or (206) 632-2080 at his home. Bobby was hired by Anna Nicole Smith to design a boudior for her condo, all done in pink satin and feathers. It was FABULOUS! For some reason, Anna didn’t like it. I dunno. I thought it was very posh…
